The particular conformation of its tines makes ideal to work the soil in depth in substitution of the ploughing, facilitating in this way a good drainage and the following preparation of the bed of seeding, allowing the maximum adherence the tractor and an outlet of the ground at any depths. 
Sub Soilers can be coupled with back roller or discs. 
The roller (single or double, available with mechanical or hydraulic regulation) is manufactured with teeth in steel, positioned in helical way in comparison to the axle of the same roller. The teeth are set in 2 series of helixes that intersect at 90° between them. 
The back discs are very useful both on the firm ground with cultivation rests to be buried and on the ground previously ploughed, to interrupt the action of bud of the weeds.
